VINCE CABLE TO SPEAK AT LIB DEM REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Vince CableVince Cable MP will be the guest speaker at the North East Lib Dem Regional Conference and AGM this Saturday.

Mr Cable will address the question "Is the financial storm abating?" and consider how the challenges of the economic downturn regionally and nationally should be tackled.

Lib Dem MEP for the North East, Fiona Hall, said:

"Vince Cable has made the right calls on the economy over many years now. He not only saw the financial crisis coming but offered good insights and advice on how to tackle the economic downturn. I am looking forward to hearing his views about how the North East can emerge from the recession."
