FIONA VISITS DURHAM'S STRAY DOG SUCCESS STORY

Fiona with Langley Moor Councillor Maureen Smith met one of the dogs, Paddy.
Fiona is urging anyone considering buying a dog as a pet to visit the stray dogs at Deerness.
She said:
"Deerness kennels are committed to housing all stray dogs that come through their doors and will not put down a dog unless it is too ill or viscous.
"It is a tremendous achievement that the pound has successfully housed 200 stray dogs in the last four months.
"I once had a lovely border collie cross who had been a stray and am really looking forward to meeting some of the dogs that owners Kevin and Linda are currently finding homes for."
