SUPPORT FOR NORTH EAST ENERGY CAPITAL BID

Fiona recently visited the Cogen CHP power station at Seal Sands on Teesside. She says that the North East is at the forefront of innovative energy technology and fully supports the bid.
Fiona has given her support to the North East's bid to become the UK's energy capital.
The Liberal Democrat is the energy spokesperson in the European Parliament. She said:
"I work on energy issues in the European Parliament, where it is known that North East England is the pre-eminent UK region for innovative energy technology. There couldn't be a better place to site the ETI hub."
