Fiona and Cllr Carol Woods traning for the race by the riverside, Durham.

Fiona will be taking part in Cancer Research's Race for Life this Sunday at Maiden Castle, Durham.

Fiona, who is a member of MEPs Against Cancer (MAC) in the European Parliament said:

"As part of MAC I am lobbying for the European Parliament to take direct action against inequalities in cancer control.

"As a charity Cancer Research UK relies overwhelmingly on the success of fundraising events such as Race for Life to continue it's life-saving research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer.

"I'm proud to be taking part and hope you will sponsor Cllr Carol Woods and me."
