DO YOU PAY MORE COUNCIL TAX THAN THE PRIME MINISTER?

Fiona has joined the national Liberal Democrat 'axe Council Tax' campaign to save local people thousands on unfair tax bills.

At the moment, a household in the North East pays 11% more than a household in the City of London.

Tony Blair pays just 0.7% of his income on council tax, whereas a pensioner living in his constiuency of Sedgefield could be paying up to 10%.

The Liberal Democrats are campaigning for the unfair Council Tax to be scrapped, and replaced with a fair system based on ability to pay.
